4.2   Overview of Installing Operating System

 

4.2.1     Installation Method of Operating System

 

You can use the following methods to install the operating system on Raspberry Pi:

 

●   How to buy an SD card with an operating system installed in advance

 

You can purchase an SD card that already has an operating system already installed on the market. This method can be used for novice users or user to want a simple installation and it is advantageous to use the Raspberry Pi system immediately upon purchase.

 

 

●   How to use <NOOBS> utility installation program

 

Raspberry Pi officially provides a utility program called <NOOBS> that makes it easy to install an operating system. With this utility, you can easily install Raspbian operating system, and if you want, you can choose and install different operating systems. If necessary, you can also install multiple operating systems at once.

 

 

●   How to use an image file of system where operating system is installed

 

This is a method of copying the system image in which the operating system is installed in advance and using it as it is. You can download the system image of the operating system you want to install, copy it to the SD card by image copy, and then insert the SD card in Raspberry Pi to run the system.
