4.5   Installation Using <NOOBS> Utility

 

4.5.1     Overview of <NOOBS> Utility

 

The <NOOBS> utility is a simple and easy utility program that installs the operating system on the Raspberry Pi system. Even beginners can easily install Raspbian and other operating systems on the Raspberry Pi system using the <NOOBS> utility. With this tool, you can install Raspbian, the official operating system provided by Raspberry Pi foundation, and you can also use a way to install other operating systems if necessary.

 

With the <NOOBS> utility, here is a list of operating systems that can be installed:

■    Raspbian

■    OpenELEC

■    RaspBMC or OSMC

■    windows 10 IOT core

■    RISC

 

There are many ways to use the <NOOBS> utility. You can purchase the SD card with <NOOBS> utility installed in advance through various companies in the market or you can download the <NOOBS> utility program from the Internet, copy the program to the SD card according to the installation instructions, and use it.
