4.6 Installation Using Operating System Image
4.6.1 Downloading and Preparing Operation System Image File
Download the image file for the operating system you want to install from Raspberry Pi official homepage or other sources. Downloaded data is provided in various compressed file formats. Depending on the situation of the user who installs it, download the appropriate format file, and extract the compressed file according to each compression format and prepare the image format files.
The decompressed file will usually be in the image format file of the form xxx.img or xxx.iso. The following is an example of downloading the image file for the Raspbian operating system.
