7.4.3 Creation of Folder and File
Here we will create a folder or file on the desktop screen. If you click the right mouse button anywhere on the desktop screen, a popup menu will appear as shown below. If you select [Create New] menu here, a menu for creating a folder or file displays.
7.4.2 Setting Desktop Properties
7.4.2.1 Setting Desktop Preference
It provides the ability to adjust various appearances of desktops and how it works in a way that users want. If you press the right mouse button anywhere on the desktop screen, a popup menu will appear as shown below. You can adjust the necessary contents by selecting [Desktop Preferences] menu.

■ Execution icon
If you click the icon, the connected program will be executed automatically.
7.3.5 Tool
● Basic function
This area is usually used to show informations about the current state of various resources of the system.
The first time you install the system, you will find menu tools installed that show you information about Bluetooth, network, sound, CPU usage, and current time is installed.
7.3.4 Task Bar (Task Display)
● Basic function
This area shows the task currently being performed. The task that is displayed as window on the desktop screen is displayed as an icon to mean the task here.
7.3.3 Application Launch Bar (Start Task)
● Basic function
This area is where icons representing a specific application are collected.
Clicking on a specific icon registered here will immediately launch the application program associated with the icon.
It will be convenient to register and use frequently used applications.
7.3.2 Menu (Start Menu)
7.3.2.1 Execution of Menu
If you press [Menu] on the left side of [Panel] with the mouse, a list of executable program groups is displayed, and below that, a list of actually executable programs is displayed.
7.3 Detail Structure of Panel (Menu and Taskbar)
7.3.1 Configuring Panel
The Raspberry Pi system provides useru with the ability to adjust the configuration, processing capabilities, appearance, and location of the Panel according to user’s needs. If you press the right mouse button anywhere on the panel, a popup menu like the screen below appears. You can use the [Panel Settings] menu to make the necessary settings.
7.2.3 Configuration of Desktop Area

■ Desktop
[Desktop] represents the environment in which a particular user is currently working. When a user executes a specific program, it not only displays the execution status of the program in the form of a window, but also receives a command or input from a user, processes the program, and displays the result.
7.2.2 Configuration of Panel Area

■ Panel
The entire area at the top of the screen is called [Panel]. It can be moved up, down, left, or right according to the user’s setting.
The [Panel] area is usually used to control and coordinate the window. It can shut down or restart the system, and it also starts a specific program or displays the overall status of the system.
This panel can be divided into several areas according to the purpose, and each area can be defined to perform a special function. [Menu], [Application Launch Bar], [Task Bar], [Tool] can be said as used typical area.
